Within a Conservation Area
Refurbishment and alterations to a listed Georgian town house. Located in the Blackheath Conservation Area, the brief was to transform a damp basement into the heart of the house, with new generous glazed connections and access to the garden. The client had beautifully restored the upper levels of the house, leaving the basement until last. We worked with a heritage palette of styles and colours, so that the new kitchen, with its charm and antiquity, felt like a continuation of the rest of the house. This bespoke approach was reinforced by designing the layouts around chosen items of furniture and, where possible, exposing the original fabric of the house.
