These two new buildings on different secondary school sites in Bristol each provide 150 places for learning with the benefit of a high specification of contemporary ICT equipment. They are funded by the DfES through the Excellence in Cities initiative and with a contribution from Bristol City Council. They are required to provide a stimulating and innovative environment that will appeal to a wide range of pupils and to the communities they serve. The centres have an area of 600sq metres and were constructed in 26 weeks under a traditional form of contract.
