The Scottish Court Service (SCS) currently occupies in excess of 60 Sheriff Courts, across the length and breadth of Scotland. Over 80% of its estate is housed in Listed buildings. The SCS retains 3 teams to service its £6m (and rising) annual budget for upgrading and re-modelling existing stock. The current Framework commenced in June 2004, and since then Aedas Architects has remodelled a part of Parliament House (Grade A Listed) to create additional Judges’ rooms, and is currently remasterplanning the whole of the Parliament House complex to reduce the interventions required by previous plans. In addition Aedas Architects has executed works from feasibility to completion in Fort William, Peterhead, Kirkcaldy and Inverness.
