One Central Park is a new build IT training facility located on Central Park in East Manchester, forming an integral part of the regeneration strategy for the area. The building combines Higher and Further Education opportunities within one facility, and represents a joint venture between MANCAT, University of Manchester, UMIST, Manchester Metropolitan University and Salford University. The building totals 8,826 m2 net internal accommodation, incorporating a learning resource centre, classrooms, workshops, staff areas, administration areas, lecture theatres, incubator space, and a refectory. Accommodation is arranged around a central landscaped courtyard, which provides the prime social interaction space within the building.
