Extension to the existing retail centre to provide 105,000 ft2 of new accommodation on 3 main levels incorporating a 9 screen cinema, 20 lane bowling alley, hotel, bars and restaurants and a childrens’ play barn. A feature of the scheme is a new pedestrian lane linking old with new and leading off the existing street. There is currently a surface car park on the site which had to be retained and which resulted in the development of a design with a series of terraces linking to the town at different levels.
