AHR has designed a new headquarters for the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO), a bespoke office building designed to encourage a ‘one team’ culture, while at the same time reflecting the client’s status as one of the world’s leading geospatial information companies. The building is designed to promote close collaboration between colleagues and improve staff retention through wellbeing. The building was successfully delivered within an ambitious timescale – completing exactly three years since initial design work began in January 2016. Having achieved BREEAM Excellent, the project followed the Government’s Soft Landings process.
