Brief: Conversion of timber framed barn to form dwelling for tenant farmer. Site located at the edge of a National Park and in the AONB, with far reaching views. Historic frame conservation was combined with Passiv House principles of construction, creating an environmentally friendly property that retained the old timbers exposed internally, but wrapped with a well insulated separate external airtight frame.
