This Client had been in another of my projects on the same Road and asked if I would act as their architect. The main areas of the brief was to design a Mansard loft conversion achieving 200mm more in height and 1m in depth, width than a previous dormer loft. This included re-introducing the Victorian hipped roof above bay window that was previously removed. To re-plan inside and changing the services around, landscaping the front with a general refurbishment ready for letting. Planning permission was sought as the Mansard rises from the gutter, it was achieved very quickly. The design was developed through building control and the project was tendered to 3 builders. The Client choose the builder they had inspected work of on our previous projects. The project was completed July 2014 and the Client seems very happy with the results.
