Within a Conservation Area, New Build
This Client was a family who worked from home, husband, wife and University graduate son. Rather than move they decided to convert their garage to a study and extend to side and rear. The house is in a Conservation Area and had been refused planning for just the garage conversion previously, it was also to the South of it's un-extended neighbour. The extension would shade the neighbour so was limited to 3.3m on that side. The extension was stepped out a further 1.6m away from this neighbour. The garage conversion, side and rear extensions added c.60m square of floor area. Planning and Building Control agreement were achieved with the project built in phases to accommodate the Client during the work.
