Future Carrington is one of the UK’s largest brownfield regeneration schemes transforming a 1,665 acre former petrochemical plant. Wain Estates’ envisioned 3.5 million sq ft of employment and 2,900 new homes around three sustainable new village centres over the next 15 years. The site was technically challenging throughout design and delivery with COMAH Zones. Each unit designed for flexibility using collaborative 3D models and Virtual Reality to help communicate the concept as part of the public consultation process. The scheme totals 211,000 sqft of industrial accommodation across six buildings, between 11,000 to 104,000 sqft. Developing distinctive architectural branding and specification framework, setting the benchmark for future development across the estate.
