This is a new school building within the existing school site for the Post 6th Form & Vocational Studies Centre. The building is of an ecological design, using renewable energy sources. It incorporated a ground source heat pump, photovoltaic cells, rainwater harvesting system, and thermal mass cooling combined with a natural ventilation passive stack system. We had undertaken extensive research to incorporate materials that have low embodied energy and come from renewable resources.
