This two-storey timber extension was designed to contrast the existing features of the Georgian main house, while picking up the scale and shapes from the existing building. We worked closely with the client, who was an art teacher, and local conservation officers to design something unique and bold in this historic area. The light-filled extension opens up the house to the garden, with an artist’s studio workspace above.
