A house reconnected to its garden: outside is brought inside in this highly crafted and technically precise project. Natural light washes deep into the heart of the space via slim windows and a rooflight at the junction with the original house. The new space is loose flowing and open plan, gifting the multi generational family with flexible, non-prescriptive space. Views from the front door are orchestrated to reveal the garden. To make the hall feel bigger and lighter as well as deliver natural light to the basement, the under-stair enclosure is also glazed.
