New Build
3HW Architecture and Design were appointed to provide a site master plan for twenty-five residential dwellings following initial pre-application feedback. The site is surrounded by commercial and residential development on three sides and the main line rail network from Penzance to London, Paddington. The proposed scheme was a response to the site constraints creating a development of two and three storey town houses, centered around a main ‘square’ incorporating trees and vegetation with car parking to create an inviting focal point. The scheme is to provide a mixture of family homes, small houses and one bedroom apartments, linked by a small palette of materials incorporating natural stone, timber, zinc roofing and crisp rendered block-work. House types were designed to respond to the site levels to reduce removal of land materials, whilst providing comfortable amenity areas for incoming residents. Architectural Services Provided • Design concepts and feasibility studies • Preparation and submission of pre-application enquiry • Revision of scheme to Full Planning Application Stage
