The refurbishment of an existing restaurant site for a new high quality restaurant and bar in fashionable Sloane Street, London. To compliment the cuisine, the design aesthetic is distinctly Asian, with the use of natural matetials and luxurious finishes. There are contrasting patinas of different woods throughtout the restaurant - on the floor, walls and ceiling. There is a mixture of booth and banquette seating in dark brown leather, and freestanding circular tables with elegant, feminine chairs. The Oak wall linings display richly coloured artwork panels by Barnaby Gorton, whose depictions of taut musucular torsos and limbs create a unique and sensual focus point to the room. The bar; recently re-named Ginger, located on the floor above continues the theme of natural textures and luxurious finishers. The long granite bar and the slate and timber flooring are softened by sumptuous sofas, Asian daybeds and discreet lighting.
