The driving force behind this home was a need for the clients to create sense of calm and tranquillity within a dense urban context. Around busy careers and family life, the company of nature and comfort of serenity were identified as two missing components to city living. With this in mind, we worked closely with the clients to organise the spaces according to their lifestyle. A natural outlook was created over the ground floor pond and upper green roof, while the visual impact of the internal spaces was pared down with warm, neutral tones and textured, organic materials.
