Demolition of the existing 1960's house within Conservation Area and construction of a new 3 storey single family home. Crafted using Siberian Larch, the front façade responds to the rhythm of Victorian shopfront history on the street. This is achieved by layering full width glazing on the Ground Floor with vertical timber elements and privacy screens, resulting in a ‘residential shopfront’. Internally, the project is constructed using exposed Cross Laminated Timber for the benefit of the environment, speed of installation (1 week) and warmth of the material. The project is currently on site and due for completion Autumn 2020.
