The proposal will be to operate an educational smallholding the opportunity to experience and learn about small scale farming, where their food comes from and how to grow and look after the animals and produce for small groups from schools and youth groups . The proposal at Puddingcake Fields offers children a window into the farming world and provide the chance for youngsters to be inspired by agriculture. The smallholding will raise sheep for meat and fleece, goats for meat, milk and milk products and pigs for meat, a range of poultry for eggs and the table. Fruit and vegetables for the inhabitants and small scale supply. The proposal also provides accommodation in the form of shepherds huts and bell tents (Glamping) with space to camp, for holidays and weekends. This will then subsidise the educational aspect of the proposal.
