ARTIST'S STUDIO SPACE:
A 400 sqm private studio workspace for the artist Glenn Brown, set within a new mixed use building on the edge of the City of London, between Clerkenwell and Shoreditch.
A calm coolly conceived sequence of spaces, here good quality light, both natural and artificial, was paramount, as were carefully considered and finely executed details essential to provide an appropriate setting and environment for the artist’s work.
Flowing continuously over two floors, each area is defined by fixed and moveable elements sub-dividing each function; private work areas, library, gallery space for private viewings, office, bespoke kitchen and storage facilities.
ART GALLERY & EXHIBITION BUILDING: After completing his studio in 2011, the client has recently commissioned wcjw to convert and extend an office building in Marylebone into an art gallery and studio space. Free access for the public, completion is due 2018.
