About this project

The Maltings, listed Grade II by English Heritage is believed to have been re-built for Warwick & Co's Anchor Brewery in 1856. It was in use for the next century or so, with very few alterations until 1964 when it became disused. The scheme solves the problems of restricted headroom often found in maltings, and celebrates the existing form of the building with carefully and elegantly designed alterations, including balconies and a contemporary new wing. Architect: Rob Craggs (project completed with Allen Tod Architecture Ltd)
